Garden Visions 2010 - Master Gardeners
About the Wisconsin Master Gardeners

The Wisconsin Master Gardeners organization is an outreach of the University of Wisconsin Extension, headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, extending locally to all 42 Wisconsin counties through the County Extension Offices. Each individual Master Gardener group is an independent, self-supporting entity, receiving direction and support through the local Extension office in their home county.

North Central Wisconsin Master Gardeners is host to the 2010 Garden Visions conference. We are a  tri-county organization that encompasses  Marathon, Lincoln, and Langlade counties.

To become a Certified Master Gardener, one must attend 36+hours of formal training in areas such as plant identification, soil physiology, plant pathology, plant propagation, landscaping and design, and a multitude of other topics related to general gardening, and serve 24+hours of volunteer work effort on behalf of their Master Gardener group. To remain certified after initial certification, each Master Gardener must attend 12+ hours of education in horticultural topics and serve 24+hours of voluntary time each year.
